KITTEC
XT - FRONT LOADING KILNS
|
| |
 |
KITTEC
X LINE Front loaders are built on a frame of high-grade stainless
steel, guaranteed non-corrosive and the high-quality stainless
steel case will remain absolutely rust free. These kilns will
still look as beautiful in 20 years!
Five-sided
heating by specially calculated Kanthal®heating elements,
high-quality light-weight refractory bricks and the multi-layered
secondary insulation result in absolutely even temperature
distribution with a maximum firing temperature of 1320°C.

 |
All
kilns in the KITTEC® X LINE Front loading XT range are
fitted with heating elements on Silimantin tubes. Although
expensive to manufacture, the high-quality mounting tubes
guarantee long life for both the brickwork and elements. The
elements require less power, since heat is not lost within
the brickwork. Savings are made in the cost of electricity
as well as to the environment. Elements on five sides of the
kiln give optimum temperature distribution and ensure even
firing. When elements require replacement this can be done
more cheaply, since there are fewer elements and that they
can be fitted more quickly and without damage to the brick
work.

On the top of the high-grade steel framework is an integrated
perforated plate. Damp ware can be placed upon the top of
the kiln to dry.
The
base of the kiln is built with extra heavy duty bricks (ASTM
class 26) especially for heavy weights.
The height of the kiln is fully adjustable to suit the user,
using telescopic legs, with three height settings.

|
|
|
 |
An absolute
innovation in the building of kilns is the roof plate in
the firing chamber, protecting the ware from mortar or brick
dust from the roof.
|
| |
|
|

|
The
most vulnerable heating element in the base of the kiln
is covered by a heat-permeable SIC plate, protecting the
element from glaze and broken clay shards, whilst allowing
the heat through.

All
Kittec kilns are individually signed off by a quality control
inspector prior to leaving the factory. They are wrapped
before transportation in both safe and environmentally sound,
reusable felt blankets.
The
kiln is checked again by The Clay Cellar on installation,
and instruction given on the use of your chosen controller.
